Carrie Mae Weems is an internationally acclaimed photographer and artist. Her award winning work has explored the issues of race, gender and politics.

This year--- as part of the National Black Arts Festival…Weems puts a new face on historic civil rights events with her latest project called---In Constructing History: A Requiem to Mark the Moment.

Located inside the Woodruff Arts Center the exhibit is a photographic journey thru history and it's also where WABE's Rose Scott spent some time with the award winning artist.
