Menahem Pressler
Pianist Menahem Pressler looks in his kitchen to make old music sound new.
Pianist Menahem Pressler estimates that he and his Beaux Arts Trio colleagues played the trios by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Dvorak and Brahms hundreds of times. In their more than 50 years of music making, they refused to rest on their laurels and past performance glories or "phone in" their performances no matter where they played.

Although the Beaux Arts Trio officially retired a few years ago, pianist Menahem Pressler is busier than ever playing chamber music on tour, and as the "Distinguished Professor of Music" at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
